To Our Residents and Family Members:
We know that many of you are concerned about the spread of COVID-19 (the new coronavirus) and how it may impact us in all of our Baruch communities. Ensuring residents are cared for is always our first priority, and at this time we do not have any confirmed cases of COVID-19 in any of our communities.
Please rest assured that our team is thoroughly trained in proper procedures to maintain a safe and healthy community. Our communities are following the recommendations of the CDC with regard to COVID-19 and taking all the necessary preventive measures. Our communities are also in close contact with the local and state health departments and are following their guidance as well. We are currently posting signs on our entryway doors to notify visitors of the symptoms of COVID-19 with a request that visitors not enter the building if they are ill or experiencing any of these symptoms. We would encourage instead remote communication with their loved one (phone, email, social media, etc.). Employees are also being directed not to come to work if ill or experiencing any of the symptoms of COVID-19.
As a faith- based organization, Baruch Senior Ministries and its communities will continue to carry out our mission to “Honor God by Serving People as They Age.” We will do this by relying on God as we take all necessary measures to ensure the continued care and safety of our residents. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us:
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
We will continue to monitor the situation and provide further updates as necessary. Please be assured that we have a plan in place should there be a diagnosed case of COVID-19 in any of our communities and will notify you immediately if this happens. In the meantime, if you have any questions, feel free to contact your Administrator.
